IWFL accepts new expansion team in Corpus Christi

Austin, Texas –The IWFL is pleased to announce it has awarded a new team membership to Michelle Garza representing the South Texas Lady Crushers. The Crushers will begin play as an expansion team in 2017.


“We are pleased to welcome the Crushers to the league,” said Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer, “Everyone in the region looks forward to building new rivalries and helping this team to grow.”

The South Texas Lady Crushers will offer women an opportunity to learn to play full tackle football and compete at the national level.  The team will play an exciting schedule in their inaugural season against teams from Houston, San Antonio and Austin, Texas.

As an organization we are focused on providing women an opportunity to participate in a fun, rewarding, riveting experience. Attitude determines preparation determines performance determines success which will be instilled by self discipline, being focus, teamwork, effort, structure, respect and responsibility. With all that being said, we are looking forward to being a part of such a prestigious league, and we will bring our all to the league,” stated Donte Booker, South Texas Lady Crushers Head Coach.
