IWFL accepts new expansion team in Southern Oregon

Austin, Texas – The IWFL is pleased to announce it has awarded a new team membership to Karie Colbert representing the Rogue Valley Elements. The Elements will begin play as an expansion team in 2017.

“We are pleased to welcome the Elements to the league. Their enthusiasm for creating a competitive and sportsmanlike football team is refreshing,” said Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer, “Teams in the western region are looking forward to playing in the Rogue Valley.”

The Rogue Valley Elements will offer women an opportunity to learn to play full tackle football and compete at the national level.  The team will play an exciting schedule in their inaugural season against teams from California, Nevada and Utah.

“We are excited to be with the IWFL for our inaugural season. The Elements look forward to the competition and friendships that will be made this season and in seasons to come,” stated Karie Colbert, Rogue Valley Elements Team Board Member and IWFL Delegate.

We are an independent Women's Tackle Football Team new to the Rogue Valley. We believe that a successful team is FOR the women and ours is lead BY women. The Elements are run by a diverse Board of Directors and Members at Large made up of players, non-players and team supporters.
