Austin, Texas –The IWFL is pleased to announce it has awarded a new team membership to the Carson Bobcats. The Bobcats will begin play as an expansion full member team in 2016 with a full schedule of exciting games.
“We are pleased to welcome Coach Hosea and the Bobcats to the IWFL. The IWFL has always made safety a priority from requiring ambulances and ATC’s at all games to leading the way in support of the WFF research arm. Player safety is something we take very seriously. With that focus we look forward to helping Coach Hosea and his staff offer players safer and stronger participation options in Southern California.“ said Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer.
Lead by Head Coach Bobby Hosea, the Carson Bobcats bring a veteran roster and coaching staff to the league. Known for his Helmet Free Tackle Training program, Coach Hosea also hopes to share the benefits of safer tackling with the world of women’s football by showcasing the technique used by the Bobcats.
“Women have been the leaders in innovation in almost everything on the planet and tackle football is just another opportunity for women to be the light on the hill, to show the world a better way to play the game of tackle football, one that stays true to its physical nature while protecting themselves and their opponents from avoidable helmet related injuries.” stated Bobby Hosea, Head Coach.
The Carson Bobcats will offer women an opportunity to learn to play full tackle football, train in a professional environment and compete at the national level. The team will play regionally in the IWFL Pacific Conference during the regular season with a schedule featuring match ups with some of the best teams in the sport today.
